Terms and Conditions
This agreement was last modified on 12/7/24
The client will always be assessed by a qualified physiotherapist irrespective of the service provided. All physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as well as the Chartered Society of Phsyiotherapists, and will abide by the code of practise and standards of proficiency set out by these two organisations. This includes making sure all treatment and assessments are relevant to the presenting conditions.
We confirm that King Physiotherapy, and all physiotherapists working for King Physiotherapy hold the appropriate professional indemnity insurance in respect to the client’s treatments, as well as the relevant professional liability insurance.
After assessment, the physiotherapist will explain their findings to the client and propose a specific individualised treatment plan in collaboration with the client. This will involve explanation of any risks posed by the uptake of these treatments. Every client has the right to refuse treatment/ assessment on any basis without prejudice. The client is free to withdraw from therapy at any time without stating a reason, provided the 24 hour notice is given for any booked appointment.
Consultation and treatment will be on a one-to-one basis (unless prior arrangements have been made), and in a private setting. This may include a chosen domiciliary setting.
If appropriate, requested reports and letters are charged in respect of the total time taken to prepare, based upon the standard therapy cost as listed on this site. Should the physiotherapist deem it medically required, reports and letters may be sent to the client’s first contact practitioner, or other healthcare professional. These would not be charged on any basis. Should this occur, the client will be made aware of the reasons behind this decision, and all effort will be made to secure their consent.
Payment for appointments must be made at the time of booking.
Clients are required to consent to assessment and treatment prior to the commencement of the session.
Each client is expected to respect the clinician throughout all sessions and in all communications. Aggression and/ or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. The client is expected to not be under the influence of alcohol or any other substances during the session. King Physiotherapy and any physiotherapists practising under King Physiotherapy is entitled to terminate the session at any time should they feel the client is not upholding this agreement.
Cancellation policy
King Physiotherapy requires 24 hours notice of any cancellation, this can be made via email to samkingpole@outlook.com. Any cancellations made after the 24 hour cancellation policy will be subject to a cancellation charge at the full cost of the booked appointment. Though we appreciate there may be situations where clients have to cancel last minute, we are required to treat all clients the same and cannot waive this charge.
If a client is more than 15 minutes late to their appointment it will be at the physiotherapists discretion whether they can be treated or not. If the decision is made they cannot be treated, the full cancellation charge will be applied. Unfortunately session starting late due to client lateness can not be extended beyond the appointment’s originally scheduled time slot.
GDPR
We will treat all information, facts, matters, documents, and all other materials of a confidential nature which we create as a result of the clients treatments and assessments as confidential at all times. All written, audio, visual, and video recorded records will be stored securely. Information shared within the treatment and assessment sessions will be treated with the strictest of confidence and at no time will be shared with any third parties without the clients consent. The only exception of this is if medically required to send reports or letters concerning the client’s treatments or assessments to the client’s first contact practitioner, or other relevant healthcare provider. If this was to occur, all steps will be taken to prior to gain the client’s consent. King Physiotherapy confirms they are GDPR compliant.
